Terms

Last updated: June 23, 2026

script.pub is a small, invite-only screenwriting app. By creating an account or using it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Accounts and invites

Access is invite-gated — you need a valid invite code to create an account. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password safe. Accounts are meant for one person; do not share your credentials.

Acceptable use

Write whatever you like, but do not use script.pub to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone else’s rights;
  • upload malware or attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other accounts;
  • store or distribute illegal content.

It is intended for personal screenwriting.

Your content

You own what you write. We claim no ownership of your screenplays. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, process, and display your content back to you so the app can work — for example saving it to the database and syncing drafts. We do not publish or share your content.

Availability

script.pub is provided as-is and as-available. It is a small project, so expect occasional downtime, bugs, and change; features may be added, altered, or removed. Keep your own backups by exporting your work.

Privacy

Your use is also covered by the Privacy policy, which explains what the app collects and where it is stored.

Termination

You can stop at any time and delete your account from the Account page. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or where needed to protect the service.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that your data will never be lost — so export regularly.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the “last updated” date above will move when we do, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
